  • September 27 -- An armed robbery with a knife occurred at approximately 2:00 am on Sunday in the area of Liberty Street near Adeline Street.  The victim was a Hispanic male identified as Estanaldo Ramirez, 26, of Trenton.  It was reported that the victim was walking home after leaving the Sambuca’s Bar and while doing so he was approached by the suspect who demanded money from him.  The victim refused to give the suspect any money and started to run.  The suspect gave chase to the victim and in the process cut him in the back causing a laceration across his back near the waistline.  The injury suffered by the victim caused him stopped and during this time, the suspect deprived the victim of  $100.00 dollars in U.S. currency. The victim went home and related to his brother what had happened.  The victim didn’t want to seek any medical attention, but since the bleeding didn’t stop the victim’s brother called an ambulance.  At approximately 4:00 am the victim was transported to Capital Health System @ Fuld treated and released. The suspects were described as a 20 to 24 years old Hispanic male, 5’10”, stocky build, wearing greenish pants, tan shirt and sneakers.

     
  • September 25 -- An armed robbery with a gun occurred at approximately 5:34 pm on Friday at the Ray’s Barber Shop, 665 Southard Street.  There were six victims.  It was reported that an unknown male entered Ray’s Barbershop and sat down as a regular customer would, waiting for his turn to get a haircut.  At one point the suspect entered the bathroom and when he came out he was armed with a silver handgun, which he waived around in a threatening manner.  The suspect demanded for the victims to take everything out of their pockets and to throw them onto the floor.  All of the victim’s complied and the suspect proceeded to pick up all the property that was on the floor.  At this time the suspect left the barbershop. The suspect was described as a 16 to 19 year old male, 5’07” to 5’09”, medium built, dark skin, wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans.

     
  • September 25 -- A carjacking occurred on Friday at approximately 4:00 am.  There were two victims, Charles Morris, 26 and Lekeya Robinson, 33 of Trenton.  At the time of the incident, it was learned that Ms. Robinson picked up her boyfriend, Morris, at the 700 block of Chambers Street after he left a party.  While they were heading home both victims were involved in an argument.  When they approached the area of Chambers Street and Roebling Avenue, Ms. Robinson stopped the vehicle and her boyfriend, Morris, exited the car. At this time and unknown person ran towards Morris, struck him in the head with what appeared to be a gun, entered the vehicle pointed the gun at the Robinson. Ms. Robinson immediately exited her car, at which time the suspect drove away with her auto.  Both victims ran to their residence and reported the incident to the police.  The grey Lexis was recovered in front of a resident in the 1st block of Hampton Avenue, Trenton, NJ.  It appeared that the auto incurred damages after striking a porch’s fence.  The suspect was described as a dark skinned black male wearing dark clothing.

     
  • September 25 -- A shooting occurred on Friday at approximately 1:42 am in the first block of Alden Avenue, Trenton.  The victim was a 19-year-old East Windsor, NJ man.  During the investigation it was learned that two black males that were riding in a white four door BMW shot the victim.  It appeared that the shooting stemmed from a dispute concerning an ex-girlfriend, identified as Cara Meindl, 21. The investigation revealed that on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in Hamilton Twp, NJ, Meindl committed an act of simple assault and terroristic threats - domestic violence - against the victim.  Enough probable cause was obtained to issue a warrant for the arrest of Stephan P. Green, 21, for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.  The domestic violence incident between the Meindl and the 41-year-old victim was investigated and after careful consideration and review of the investigation, a warrant for the arrest of Cara Meindl was issued. The domestic warrant is connected to the incident that occurred between Meindl and the victim in Hamilton Twp, NJ.  Police are still seeking information on the identity of the second male suspect.

     
  • September 20 -- A shooting occurred on Sunday at approximately 1:15 am inside a residence located in the 100 block of North Broad Street, Trenton.  The victim was a 15-year-old city youth. The victim was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld to be treated for a gunshot wound to his right leg.  The victim underwent emergency surgery to repair a sever damage to the femoral artery and femur bone.  He was listed in stable condition after the surgery. During the investigation it was learned that the victim was shot while attending a dance party.  The victim was shot while he was dancing with a female friend and upon realizing that he was shot he ran out of the residence.

     
  • September 16 -- Trenton Police are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, which occurred on Wednesday, at approximately 3:00 am, in the 200 block of Tioga Street.   The victim of this fatal motor vehicle crash was identified as George D. McRae, 48, of Trenton.  Trenton Police detectives while conducting their investigation learned that victim approached an SUV at the corner of Chambers Street and Tioga Street in what was believed to be a drug transaction. During the supposedly narcotic transaction for some reasons unknown at this time, the driver of the SUV suddenly accelerated his vehicle east on Tioga Street. The victim held onto the driver’s side door and was carried but after loosing his grip his body collided with the right rear end of a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis that was parked and unattended. The driver of the SUV failed to stop and fled the scene. The suspect appeared to be a Hispanic male driving a red colored SUV - Kia Sportage body time or Jeep Liberty type vehicle, with a spare tire cover in the back.  Possibly the suspect’s vehicle may have sustained damaged to the left panel. It appeared that the suspect’s vehicle was red, but the type or color has not being confirmed.  

     
  • September 14 -- A shooting occurred on Monday, at approximately 10:31 pm in the 300 block of Garfield Avenue.  The victims were a 24-year-old Trenton man and his 23-year-old wife. Trenton Police were dispatched to the residence on report of a man shot.  When the officers arrived they located the 24-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  The victim was conscious and further into the investigation it was learned that two males, who while armed with a handgun, confronted the victim and his wife when they arrived at their residence.  During this time a struggle ensued between the 24 year old victim and the two suspects.  The victim successfully forced both suspects out of his home.  Then several shots were fired into the front door, with bullet fragments striking the 24-year-old man in the left side of his head.  The suspects then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld and listed in stable condition.  He treated for bullet fragments that struck him in the left side of his head and was admitted for observation. The suspects were described as followed:       

Black male, dark complexion, approximately 6’00”, stocky build, shoulder length braided hair.  Last seen wearing a multi-colored sweater, dark jeans, whit wave cap and armed with a black handgun.

Black male, dark complexion, approximately 5’06”, heavy build and last seen wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt. 

  • September 12 -- A gunman opened fire on the 300 block of West Hanover Street at 10:36 pm, Saturday, leaving three city men bleeding from gunshot wounds. The victims were an 18-year-old shot in his left leg, a 20 year-old wounded in his right leg and a 28-year-old shot in his torso. Police described the gunman as a black male who was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a black bandana over his face.

  • September 8 -- At approximately 2:08 am, Tuesday, an aggravated assault that occurred in the 400 block of Genesee Street.  The victim was identified as Eric Dormevil. It was reported that when patrol officers arrived at the scene they located the victim in front of a residence on Genesee Street suffering from multiple stab wounds. The suspects are unknown at this time.  But at the time when the police arrived they located two men walking away from where the victim was located.  Those two men were detained and interviewed by the police. 

     
  • September 6 -- An aggravated assault occurred in the 500 block of North Hermitage Avenue on Sunday at approximately 12:38 am.  The victim was Terry M. Oden, 41. The victim was treated for several lacerations to his head and for stab wounds in his back.  The victim was admitted to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.  The victim was picked up from his job by wife and that she drove him to his house.  When they arrived at the residence and after the victim exited the car, his wife observed two individuals that her husband had a problem with in the past hanging around.  The victim’s wife feeling that there was going to be a problem got out of her vehicle to warn her husband.  But, it was a little too late; her husband was already engaged in a physical altercation with one of the suspect.  While the victim was on top of one of the suspect, the second suspect came from behind and started to assault him.  It was alleged that the victim was assaulted with a crowbar several times and stabbed during the fight. The suspects that fled the scene were described as followed:

        ØAfrican American male, dreads, medium brown complexion, wearing a white baseball cap, white t-shirt and armed with a knife.

        ØAfrican American male, short hair, light skin, heavy set, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, white t-shirt and armed with a knife.

     
  • September 5 -- Trenton police are currently investigating the stabbing death of a 21 year-old man during a street fight outside a local bar in the North District of the city. Police have identified the victim as being Tito Glover (age: 21 years old, resident of Spring Street, Trenton, New Jersey). The victim, Tito Glover sustained a fatal wound to the lower abdomen and was later pronounced dead at Capital Health Systems at Fuld Hospital. Glover may have been involved in a verbal dispute with other individuals, while inside Dee-Dee’s Lounge located at the corner of Brunswick Avenue and Chase Street. The argument between the individuals began to escalate into a physical confrontation and the involved parties were escorted from the premises by the bar employees.  The confrontation apparently continued outside the bar premises and numerous individuals were involved in a large “street fight.” During the street disturbance, the victim (T. Glover) sustained a fatal wound to his lower abdomen.  Trenton Police officers, including members of the department’s Tactical Anti-Crime Units (TAC), were detailed at approximately 1:12 am to the location on a reported street fight and “man stabbed.”
