  • November 15 -- An incident of impersonating a police officer occurred at approximately 4:15 am Sunday in the 500 block of North Olden Avenue, Trenton. The victims of this incident were Estuardo Rodriguez, 26, and William Ayala, 27.  It was reported that Mr. Rodriguez was a passenger in a vehicle that was being operated by Mr. Ayala in the area of North Clinton Avenue.  When the victims’ vehicle approached the corner of Webster Street and North Clinton Avenue they observed a black sedan.  Upon driving passed Webster Street the suspects’ vehicle pulled behind the victims’ vehicle.  Then the suspects’ vehicle drove along side the victims’ vehicle and displayed a silver badge, forcing the driver of the victims’ vehicle to make a complete stop. Once the victims’ vehicle stopped, the two suspects jumped out of their black vehicle, with both displaying silver colored badges and ordering for the victims’ to provide identifications.  As the victims searched inside their wallets looking for their identifications, the suspects grabbed the wallets, which contained money and assorted identification cards and proceeded back to their vehicle.  At this time the suspects drove away with the suspects’ wallets and approximately $830.00 dollars in U.S. currency.  The first suspect was described as an African American male, approximately 27 to 29 years old, between 5’11” to 6’01” and heavy build.  The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 27 to 29 years old, between 5’05” to 5’07” and medium build.

     
  • November 14 -- A robbery occurred on Saturday in the 100 block of Anderson Street at approximately 12:45 am.  The victim was Gustavo Del Cede, 27. It was reported that when the victim exited a N.J. Transit bus he started to walk home down Anderson Street.  While in the 100th block of Anderson Street the victim was approached from behind by several suspects, who started to assault him causing him to loose consciousness.  The Vitim was deprived of his wallet containing $20.00 dollars and a cell phone.  The victim at one point gained his consciousness and observed the suspect running from the scene.  The victim suffered several cuts and bruises, but refused any medical attention.  The suspects were described as three African American males wearing dark hoodies. 

     
  • November 13 -- A robbery occurred on Friday in the area of Chestnut Avenue and South Broad Street at approximately 7:23 pm.  The victim was Bernando Paau, 51. The Trenton Police Criminal Investigation Bureau was contacted and advised that a Hispanic male victim of a robbery was being treated at Saint Francis Medical Center for injuries he incurred during the assault.  It was learned that while the victim was walking a grey colored vehicle pulled next to him with five males exiting the vehicle.  The suspects began to assault the victim by striking him about the face and body and during the assault the victim was deprived of $500.00 dollars in U.S. currency and a cell phone. The victim was treated for scrapes and abrasions to his forehead, right hand and knees.  The victim also sustained injuries to this abdomen and as admitted for observation.

     
  • November 11 -- An aggravated assault/stabbing that occurred at the corner of Chambers Street and Culbertson Street on Wednesday at approximately 1:21 pm.  The victim was Monica Scott, 20, of Trenton, NJ. Trenton police were informed that a female victim had just walked into Capital Health System at Mercer suffering from a stab wound to her back.  When Detective Jones arrived at the hospital he learned that while the victim was walking in the area of Chambers Street and Culbertson Street an argument ensued between her and two other female suspects.  The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, which resulted with the victim being stabbed in the back by one of the suspects.  The victim entered her vehicle and drove herself to the hospital.  The victim was treated for a non-life threatening stab wound and released.  Detective Jones canvassed the area looking for possible witnesses. The first suspect was described as a 24 to 25 years old black female, 5’01”, 150 pounds, wearing longs sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as a 19 years old black female, 4’10”, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

     
  • November 11 -- an aggravated assault/cutting that occurred on 600th block of West State Street on Wednesday at approximately 8:00 am. The victim was Isaiah Shy, 25, of Trenton. It was reported that while the victim was walking home from a local Deli he was approached by an unknown suspect, and it was alleged that the suspect struck and pushed him against a fence and cut him across the chest with what was believed to be a razor blade.  The victim continued to walk to his home and after changing his shirt had a friend take him to the hospital. The victim was treated cut across his chest that took 15 sutures to close.   The suspect was described as a black male, wearing dark clothing, ski mask and with shoulder length braid.

  • November 8 -- At approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday, it was reported that a fight erupted inside Maxine’s’ Bar and that due to this unruly behavior Security Officers started to demand for patrons to leave the bar.   The disorderly patrons were not happy that they were being forced to leave the establishment and started to throw bottles to express their dissatisfaction.  During this time Marquise Thomas, 22, of Trenton, NJ, Shelton Brown, 27, Ewing, NJ and Ben McCray, 29, of Trenton, NJ were struck about the face and head with bottles.  All of these victims suffered superficial injuries. There was a fourth victim, identified as Edward Collins, 30, that suffered a stabbed wound in his abdomen.  Collins was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld, where he underwent emergency surgery and was admitted to the hospital for observation.  Collins’ injury was non-life threatening.

     
  • November 5 --  An armed robbery/home invasion occurred on Thursday in the 400 block of South Cook Avenue at approximately 11:23 pm.  The victim was a 54-year-old male, his 52-year-old wife and their 5-year-old granddaughter.  It was reported that when the 54-year-old victim arrived home, he parked his vehicle inside a detached garage, exited his vehicle and when he attempted to enter his home via a rear door he was accosted by three Hispanic male suspects.  All of the three suspects were armed with handguns.  The 54-year-old male victim attempted to run from the suspects, but he was chased by the suspect, caught and forced back to the garage. While in the garage the suspects used duct tape to tape the victim’s hands.  During this time the suspects kept asking the victim for money.  The 54-year-old male then led the suspects inside the house and while inside, the suspects came across the victim’s 52-year-old wife and their 5-year-old granddaughter.  The 52-year-old and the 5-year-old females were forced into the second floor and at this time their hands, feet and eyes were taped.  The victim’s residence was ransacked and it appeared that the suspects were looking for money.  At one point one of the suspects struck the 54-year-old victim in the back of the head with what was believed to be a handgun, causing a large laceration to this head.   The suspect then fled the residence and shortly thereafter the 52-year-old victim was able to free herself and called the police.  The 54-year-old male and the 52-year-old female victims were treated at Saint Francis Medical Center.  The 54-year-old male victim received sutures to the back of his head and his wife was checked for pain in her head, but was also released after being treated.  The 5-year-old female victim needed no medical attention. The suspects were described as followed:

    1.      Hispanic male, possibly from the Dominican Republic, 5’07”, 180 pounds, dark complexion, last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a red scarf or bandana covering his face.

    2.      Hispanic male, possibly from the Dominican Republic, 5’09”, 175 pounds, light complexion, last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

    3.      Hispanic male, possibly from the Dominican Republic, 5’09”, 175 pounds, light complexion, last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
