  • Detectives are investigating the noon Tuesday (March 25) shooting of a man at Hoffman Avenue and Oakland Street. The man, whose identity was not immediately made public, was shot in the arm while in front of a deli at the intersection. Witnesses and police at the scene said he may have been chased by a gunman.  The man was taken to a city hospital by private vehicle, police at the scene said. His wound apparently was not life threatening.
  • Robbers slashed a city man across his stomach after he refused to hand over money on Monday, March 24, according to detectives.  Police did not name the 22-year-old victim, who received 11 sutures at St. Francis Medical Center to close the laceration. The victim told police he tried to run away from the two men, but they caught up in the 600 block of Roebling Avenue. After suffering the knife wound, he managed to escape to his girlfriend's house, where an ambulance picked him up at about 4 p.m.  The robbers were described as two 18-year-old black men, each about 5-foot-7, weighing 140 pounds, and wearing a white T-shirt with jeans.
  • A Trenton man was punched in the face and robbed Sunday, March 23 at about 9:45 p.m., according to police. While the 22-year-old victim was waiting in front of his home for a ride to work, two other men whom he wasn't expecting pulled up. After demanding money, one man struck the victim in the face, knocking him to ground. Then the other checked his pockets and stole $120 before both escaped in their vehicle. Police did not name the victim, who wasn't hurt in the strong-arm robbery. The attacker was described as a 22-year-old 6-foot-1 black male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police said. The second man was described as an 18-year-old 6-foot-1, black male, wearing black pants and hooded sweatshirt.
  • Shortly after midnight on Thursday, March 20, a 30 year old Morrisville PA man was involved in a verbal dispute with three individuals.  After walking away from the trio, entering his car and attempting to drive away, one of the suspects fired several shots at the vehicle.  The incident occurred in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue.  The victim was not injured.
  • Multiple shots were fired in the area of Bryn Mawr and Stuyvesant Avenues shortly before 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4.  At least one individual was wounded from the gunfire.
  • 18 year old Rasheedah Thompson was found laying behind an abandoned building in the 100 block of Hoffman Avenue.  Thompson had two knife wounds apparently suffered in a street fight that involved a large group of males and females at about 4:41 p.m., Tuesday, March 4.
  • A man was shot several times about 9:45 Sunday night, March 2. Police said they found the 35-year-old victim at the 400 block of Elmer Street with gunshot wounds in his arm and lower back. The victim, who is from Colorado Springs, Colo., was taken to Capital Health System at Fuld hospital by Trenton EMS and is in stable condition. Police did not release his name. An unknown armed man hopped into the victim's car after the Colorado resident gave his friend a ride home. With a gun in hand, the man then demanded a ride. The victim drove to Chestnut Avenue and suddenly threw the car's transmission into park and an altercation erupted between the two. The driver was shot in the arm during the struggle before leaving his car and fleeing toward Elmer Street. Detectives said the attacker took off in pursuit and shot the victim several more times in the lower back. The 35-year-old kept running for his life and collapsed at a home on Elmer Street.  The shooter was described as a black male wearing a black jacket with red, black and yellow rhinestones, and a black Pittsburgh Pirates hat. About 10:40 p.m., Trenton detectives responded and located evidence to the shooting. Detective Luis Vega is investigating.
  • A robbery occurred at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 in Hetzel Field Park on North Olden Avenue. A group of men approached 27-year-old city resident Raymond Rivera while he was watching his niece and nephew at the park's playground. They first asked Rivera if he saw a cell phone lying around and then wanted to know if he had change for a five-dollar bill. Soon after exchanging the bill for five singles and walking away, the men beckoned the victim towards them. As Rivera approached, he was met with a handgun and the words: "This is a stick-up." He handed over his cell phone and wallet before the robbers took out seven dollars, including their original five-dollar bill, and threw the wallet back at Rivera. The victim described the robbers as four black males about 16 years old.
  • A Trenton Police Detective was assigned to investigate a kidnapping/carjacking incident that occurred at about 10:20 A.M. on Saturday, March 1 in the 100 block of East Hanover Street.  Michael Riccitiello, 51, reported that he stopped to speak with a person and an argument ensued. During the argument the suspect asked if the auto being driven by the victim was his, Riccitiello answered in the affirmative.  The suspect then displayed a handgun, entered the vehicle and demanded the victim drive away.  Near the intersection of Hanover and Calhoun Streets, a police vehicle with lights and siren activated was observed.  The suspect became nervous and told the victim to stop the vehicle.  The suspect exited the car and fled the area.  The suspect was described as a black male, 20-30 years old, 5'8" tall, 140-150 pounds, dark skin, thin facial features and wearing a black wool cap, dark jacket and blue jeans.
