  • January 26 -- At approximately 5:32 pm Tuesday,Trenton Police Patrol Officers were detailed to the 100 block of New Rose Street to investigate a motor vehicle crash.  When the officers arrived they observed that a taxicab had struck two parked autos.  The taxicab driver was suffering from facial injuries, possibly a broken jaw.  Mr. St-Cyr was eventually transported to Capital Health System @ Fuld hospital to be treated.  A couple hours later the Trenton Police Communication Center received a call from the hospital to inform that Mr. St-Cyr actually suffered a gunshot wound. During the investigation the detectives learned through possible witnesses that the while the victim was in the area of the Train Station three individuals were seen entering his cab. Due to the victim’s condition the detectives were unable to interview him in order to clarify what had occurred to him. The suspects were described as three (3) young black males wearing dark clothing.

     
  • January 23 -- An armed robbery/shooting occurred on Saturday at approximately 4:00 pm in the area of Evans Avenue and Ingham Avenue, Trenton, NJ.  The victim was identified as Antoine Hill, 26.  It was reported that while the victim was walking home after leaving a local grocery store he was approached by two black male suspects, one of the suspects was armed with a small caliber revolver.  The armed suspects demanded money from the victim and during this time a struggle ensue between the armed suspect and the victim.  The victim started to run away from the suspects and at this time the armed suspect shot at the victim striking him once on the right ankle. The victim ran to his residence and then drove himself to Capital Health System at Fuld to be treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The suspects were described as followed:
    1.      Black male suspect, brown skin, with braids, approximately 17 to 20 years old, 5’09”, approximately 165 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

    2.      No description available on the second suspect.

     
  • January 17 -- A stabbing occurred at approximately 1:00 am Sunday in the 300 block of South Logan Avenue and the two victims were Ureena Gurley, 19 and Ann Johnson, 48, both of Trenton, NJ.  Gurley was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld and Johnson was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.  Gurley suffered a stab wound to her buttock area and Johnson received a stab wound on the upper back area, both injured suffered non-life threatening wounds. It was learned during the investigation that while both victims were walking several black males and females that exited several vehicles assaulted them.   The motive of the assault is unknown, but the investigation will continue to attempt to determine the cause of the incident.

     
  • January 13 -- At approximately 5:32 pm, Wednesday, a 16-year-old juvenile walking in the area of Nelson Avenue and Bellevue Avenue suffered a gunshot wound to his upper thigh area during an armed robbery. The suspects were described as followed:

    1.      A black male approximately 5’10”, thin build, last seen wearing a blue “Champion” hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask that covered his face.

    2.      A black male, approximately 5’08”, thin build, last seen wearing a green “Champion” hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.

     
  • January 12 -- A bank robbery at the TD Bank branch at State and Warren Streets occurred Tuesday at approximately 2:00 pm.   It was reported that the suspect approached a bank teller with the pretense that he wanted to open a checking account and proceeded to inquire what was required to open the account.  While conversing with the teller the suspect handed the teller a note stating that this was a robbery, that he had a gun and that he wanted the money. The teller subsequently complied with the demands handing the suspect the currency and the suspect fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a Black Puffy Jacket and Black Skull Cap. There were several customers in the bank at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt during the robbery.

     
  • January 10 -- An armed robbery/home invasion incident occurred at approximately 2:29 a.m. Sunday in a residence located in the first block of South Logan Avenue.  There were two victims to this incident, one was a 37-year-old male and the other was a 29-year-old male. It was reported that the 37-year-old male victim headed home after leaving a bar and when he arrived at his home a black male suspect armed with a handgun confronted him.  The black male suspect upon seeing the victim fired one shot at him.  The victim fearing for his life ran out of his residence and contacted the police. When the police arrived the victim and the police entered the residence, only to find a 29-year-old male tied up on the second floor.  At this time it was furthered learned that four-armed suspects that entered the residence were all wearing dark clothing and bandanas covering their faces.  The suspects tied up the 37-year-old victim’s roommate, (29 year old male), with duct tape and shoelaces and continually asked him for money.

     
  • January 6 --- A robbery occurred on Wednesday at approximately 7:50 pm at the Guzman Mini Market in the 400 block of Ferry Street. While Jose Ignacio, 24, was working behind the counter four black male suspects entered the store. One of the suspects forced his way behind the counter and while pointing a black revolver at the victim pushed him to the ground and demanded the money.  The victim opened the cash register and the suspect removed the money.  At this time all of the suspects fled the scene. The suspects were described as followed:

    1.      Black male, approximately 5’07”, dark complexion, thin build, last seen wearing black and white hooded sweatshirt and armed with a black revolver.

    2.      Black male, approximately 5’10”, dark complexion, thin build, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red design or writing on the front.

    3.      The last two suspects were black males, last seen wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
