  • February 27 --- A triggerman fired three shots at 2:10 a.m. Saturday during what police call an attempted robbery on the 100 block of Ward Avenue. None of the those bullets hit anyone, but they almost struck city residents Vladimir Cornejo-Campos, 24, Victor Moncada, 38, and Victor Arteaga, 27, police said. The robber started firing after Cornejo-Campos refused to give up his money, according to police.
     

  • February 27 --- At roughly 1:40 a.m. a 30-year-old city man was shot in his wrist during a drive-by shooting at the corner of Furman and Turpin streets as the victim was leaving a bar. The bullets from that incident almost struck a 33-year-old Trenton man. The victim who was struck in the wrist was treated and released at the Fuld hospital, cops said.
     

  • February 26 --- The suspected triggerman in Friday night’s Coolidge Avenue shooting is a 16-year-old boy who was at large when the police filed a warrant for the juvenile’s arrest. The Coolidge Avenue shooting occurred about 10:40 p.m. during a street fight in the West Ward near Oakland Street. In that fight, cops allege the juvenile suspect pulled his trigger in an attempt to maim a 19-year-old city man, but the gun failed to fire that time. The 18-year-old gunshot victim was rushed to Capital Health-Fuld hospital in “extremely critical condition,” cops said.

  • February 26 --- Trenton police are hunting for a tag-team duo of black men who busted a 32-year-old city man in the head with an unknown object about 6 p.m. Friday during a home invasion on Prospect Street near West State Street. Cops said the home invaders fled the apartment after apparently stealing $400 and the victim’s cell phone. The victim was in the process of getting into the shower when the invasion began, cops said.

  • February 18 --- A city teen was shot in the neck during a robbery attempt Wednesday night. Police said the victim, described only as an 18-year-old male, had just been dropped off by a taxi in front of his home on the 200 block of Tyler Street when he was approached by a masked gunman at about 8:21 p.m. The victim told police the armed man pointed the gun in his direction and said ‘give it up.” Police said the victim refused to comply and a struggle ensued. The gun went off and the victim was shot on the right side of his neck. The victim, police said, made his way into his home, and his two sisters took him to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment. He was admitted and listed in stable condition.  The robber, who remains at large, was described only as a black male about 5-foot-11. He was said to be wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a black mask at the time of the attack.

  • February 18 --- A man was shot and wounded durng a robbery attempt at about 5:30 last night at the Buy Smart Autos dealership on the 1700 block of Calhoun. Initially Ewing police received the call of an armed robbery in progress, but the incident quickly escalated. There were reports of multiple gunshots fired, and the victim, a 40-year-old customer of the shop, was said to have been struck more than once, with injuries to his arm and chest. The identity of the victim wasn’t released last night.  Immediately after the shooting, police said the victim was alert and detectives were talking to him in an attempt to identify the shooter or shooters, but they were encountering a language barrier.  However, hospital officials at Capital Health Fuld said the man was listed in critical condition, and by 8:30, TPD spokesman Pedro Medina said the shooting victim had been intubated and was not able to communicate with detectives. By 10:30, hospital officials upgraded the victim to serious condition.  The assailants were described as black males wearing hooded sweatshirts.

  • February 5 --- At 9:50 pm three people were injured in a shooting incident on Perry Street not far from Fire Headquarters.

  • February 5 --- A shooting occurred at 8:20 pm near the intersection of S. Overbrook and Cumberland Avenues in Trenton.  The victims were male, one 31 and the other 36 years of age.
