  • August 27 -- Police released information on an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 8. A 25-year-old Latino man was walking down South Clinton Avenue when he felt a knife blade press against his throat. Someone had snuck up from behind and wrapped the blade around him, as a female accomplice pulled to the curb beside them in a car. The man with the knife forced the victim into the front seat, as he climbed in back and returned the blade to the victim's neck.  The driver pulled off for a moment then stopped to pick up another male conspirator. They took off again, and in the area of Hamilton and Chestnut avenues they robbed the man of his cell phone and his wallet containing cash and credit cards. They pushed him out of the car on Roebling Avenue and the next day used his credit card at Walmart. The knife-wielding suspect was described as an Hispanic or white male, about 25 years old and 5-foot-7, heavy set, bald and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the attack. The second man to enter the car was described only as an Hispanic male in a white T-shirt. The female driver was said to be either white or Hispanic, in her mid-20s, with a thin build and blonde hair and wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.
     

  • August 27 -- 28-year-old ex-con Anthony Kennebrew was found face-down with wounds to his upper torso in a walkway between houses at 788 Stuyvesant Ave. Found in critical condition, Kennebrew was taken by ambulance to Capital Health-Fuld hospital and pronounced dead at 3:04 a.m.
     

  • August 19 -- On Wednesday,  a shooting was reported in the area of Irving Alley and Fountain Avenue at approximately 11:21 pm.  The victim, an African American male, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.  The suspects were described as 2 African American males, wearing t-shirts and in possession of a handgun.

     
  • August 17 -- Monday,  a robbery occurred at approximately 11:01 pm in 1000 block of South Clinton Avenue.  The victim was a 56-year-old deaf/mute and partially blind woman. It was reported that after leaving Conti’s Bar, Liberty Street and South Clinton Avenue, the victim walked home and that while walking the suspect approached her from behind, punched her in the back causing her to fall to the ground.  While the victim was on the ground the suspect took her black purse containing approximately $28.50.  The suspect then fled the scene.  The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black bandana and a black shirt with white lettering on front.

  • August 17 -- On Monday, a robbery/home invasion occurred at approximately 8:24 pm in a residence located in the 200 block of Bellevue Avenue.  The victim was an 86-year-old elderly man.  It was reported that while the victim was in his bedroom watching television an African American male came into his room and asked for a job.  The victim related to the suspect that he was retired and that he had no work to give out and locked his bedroom’s door.  Shortly thereafter the suspect kicked the victim’s room door open.  This time armed with a small steak knife, the suspect deprived the victim of his money.  The victim was not injured during the incident. The suspect was described as a light skinned black male, 5’08”, stocky build with short hair, last seen wearing a black t-shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.

     
  • August 16 -- On Sunday an armed robbery/stabbing occurred at approximately 2:59 am in the area of South Clinton and Chestnut Avenue.  The victim was David Urias, 24, of Trenton, NJ. It was reported that while the victim was walking home after leaving the Flamingo Bar, 905 Anderson Street, a suspect who asked for $5.00 dollars approached him at the corner of South Clinton Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.  The victim complied and gave the suspect $5.00 dollars and continued on his way.  During this time a second suspect, who was riding a blue mountain bike, approached the victim from behind.  Now both suspects demanded the victim’s money and due to the victim’s refusal a struggle ensued.  During the struggle the victim was stabbed on the right side of his chest and then the suspect’s proceeded to deprive him of $60.00 dollars and a black cell phone.  The suspects were described as follows:

    • 30-year-old African American male, baldhead, wearing black pants and a black shirt.

    • An African American male, thin build, wearing a blue shirt, black pant and riding a blue mountain bike

     
  • August 16 -- On Sunday an armed robbery/stabbing occurred at approximately 2:25 am in the 300th block of Hewitt Street.  The victim was Luis Osberto Sandoval, 28, of Trenton, NJ. The victim was transported to Capital Health @ Fuld to be treated for multiple stabs wounds and was admitted to the hospital with a collapsed lung, but was listed in stable condition.  It was reported that while the victim was in front of his residence an African American suspect demanded for the victim to give up his wallet. The victim refused to comply and a fight ensued between both the suspect and the victim.  During the struggle the suspect pulled out a knife and began stabbing the victim.  After stabbing the victim the suspect fled the scene, but failed to take the victim’s wallet. The suspect is described as a skinny African American male wearing all black clothing.

     
  • August 15 -- An aggravated assault occurred on Saturday at approximately 12:30 am in the 1st block of Walnut Avenue.  The victim was 52-year-old African American male, of Trenton, NJ. It was learned during the investigation that several suspects for unknown reasons assaulted the victim.  During the assault the victim suffered a broken jaw, a large laceration on his scalp. The victim was treated at Capital Health at Fuld and released. It appears that this incident was ignited during a narcotic transaction; the matter is still under investigation. The suspects were described as 2 black males in their mid 20’s and 3 to 4  other black males, but no further information available.

  • August 14 -- An armed robbery/shots fired occurred on Friday at approximately 9:40 pm in the 300 block of Garfield Avenue.  The victim was 39-year-old African American male, of Trenton, NJ. It was reported that the victim exited his vehicle and while he was walking to a friend’s house, two suspects approached him. One of the suspect was armed with a handgun, which he pointed at the victim and demanded money from him.  The victim fearing for his safety began to run from the suspect and as he was running he heard numerous shots fired. When the suspect reached Farragut Avenue he called the police and reported the incident.  A canvass of the area was conducted looking for the suspects, who were described as two black males, with one wearing no shirt, dark pants, thin build and armed with a handgun and the second suspect was wearing dark clothing and thin build.

  • August 14 -- An aggravated assault occurred on Friday at approximately 8:29 pm in the area of the 100 block of Kent Street.  The victim was Santos Investroz, 28, of Trenton. It was reported that the victim while involved in an argument with another Hispanic male suffered a large laceration on his right arm.  The investigation is ongoing and the police are following all leads available to them. The victim was treated at Capital Health - Fuld and released.

  • August 14 -- A robbery occurred Friday at approximately 5:49 pm in the area of the 100 block of Beatty Street.  The victims were Lin Han, 41 and Ar Lee, 18, both of Trenton. It was reported that while the victims were riding their bicycles on Beatty Street they were approached by a black SUV, which stopped and two suspects exited the vehicle. One of he suspects grabbed Han from behind while the other suspects started to assault him.  An unknown passerby stopped and assisted the victim fight off the suspects.  The suspects entered the SUV and drove out of sight.  Han was deprived of $84.00 dollars in U.S. currency.  The suspects were described as follows:

    • A white male between 22 and 25 years of age, 5’09”, 175 pounds, and wearing a white t-shirt.

    • A white male between 22 and 25 years of age, 5’08”, 150 pounds, and wearing a black-shirt.

    • A white male - no further description available/driver of auto.

  • August 10 -- On Monday at approximately 7:10 pm an aggravated assault that occurred at the corner of Hudson Street and Mott Street, Trenton, NJ.  The victims were Felicia McAllister, 28 and Britney McMillan, 20, both of Trenton, NJ. It was reported that while both victims were walking in the area of Hudson Street and Mott Street they were engaged in a verbal dispute with two Hispanic males that eventually turned to a physical altercation.  During fight McMillan was punched in the mouth and McAllister was cut on her chest with an unknown object.  McMillan refused any medical treatment, but McAllister was treated at Capital Health System At Fuld for a two-inch laceration to he chest and released. The suspects wee described as 19 to 20 year old Hispanic males, one wearing a navy blue tank top and blue jeans and the other wearing a black t-shirt and orange shorts.

     
  • August 8 -- At approximately 2:00 am, Saturday, an armed robbery/stabbing occurred in the 700th block of Anderson Street, Trenton, NJ.  The victim was Luis Torres, 38, of Trenton, NJ.  It was reported that while the victim was walking on the 700th block of Anderson Avenue an unknown Hispanic male suspect approached him and asked for $5.00 dollars.  The victim related to the suspect that he didn’t have any money.  The suspect was angered and stabbed the victim several times. During this time the suspect deprived the victim of approximately $400.00 dollars.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’11” - 6’00”, short dark hair, 190 to 210 pounds, wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans.

     
  • August 8 -- At approximately 12:50 am Saturday, Elvis DeLeon, 39, was walking in the 600 block of South Broad Street when an unknown Hispanic male approached him and demanded money.  The victim related that he didn’t have any money and during this he was attacked with a knife.  A passerby, who called 911 to report the incident, spotted the injured victim.  The suspect is described as a short and thin Hispanic male approximately 30 years old, and wearing a white t-shirt.

     
  • August 1 -- A 23-year-old man was beaten with a baseball bat by four men — two black and two white — who then shot the victim in the left shin at approximately 1:30 Saturday morning, according to police. 
     

  • August 1 -- On Saturday, an aggravated assault with a knife occurred in the area of West State Street and Hermitage AvenueJ.  The victim was Timothy Gilbert, 21, of Trenton, NJ. During the investigation it was learned that while the victim was walking in the area of West State Street and Hermitage Avenue he was approached by approximately 4 to 5 African American suspects.  During this time the victims and the suspects had a physical altercation. During the struggle, one of the suspects punched the victim, while another of  suspect armed with a knife caused lacerations to the victim’s left leg, left torso, abdomen area and left arm.   The victim ran to a relative's house and 911 was dialed.  The victim was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld.  The victim was listed in stable condition, but was admitted for observation.
