  • April 30 -- An armed robbery/home invasion occurred at approximately 11:38 pm Thursday inside residence located in the 100th block Hoffman Avenue, Trenton, NJ. There were four male victims; 77, 59, 62 and a 48. It was reported that while the 77, 59 and the 62-year-old victims were playing cards in the dinning room table the 48 year old victim opened the front door after hearing that someone was knocking. At this time two suspects entered the residence with one armed with a sawed off shotgun.  The armed suspect pointed the gun at the victims and deprived them of their money.  After taking the victims’ money the both suspects fled the scene.  The armed suspect was described as an African American, approximately 20 year of age, wearing a black bandana over his face. The second suspect was described as an African American male, approximately 20 years of age, black hoody and black bandana over face.

     
  • April 30 -- An armed robbery/home invasion occurred at approximately 10:35 pm Thursday night inside an apartment located in the 100th block of East Hanover Street, Trenton, NJ. There were two Hispanic males victims, 39 and a 21.  It was reported that while inside the apartment the 39-year-old victim heard someone knocking at the door and when he opened the door two suspects forced their way in.  One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and pointed the gun at the 39-year-old victim and while demanding money ordered the victim to get on the ground.  The 21-year-old victim was in his bedroom and after hearing the suspects ran out and locked himself in the bathroom.  The suspects kicked the bathroom door open and deprived the victim of this money, and two cell phones.  Both suspects were wearing ski mask and one of the suspects was possibly a Hispanic male in his 30s and the second was described as a male suspect, 5’09”, wearing a black hoody, blue jeans and white sneakers.

     
  • April 28 -- Two men were shot and wounded at about 11:21 Tuesday night.  The incident occurred near the intersection of Chapel and Barbara Streets in North Trenton.

  • April 28 -- Trenton Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau Homicide Detective Steven White was assigned to investigate a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 inside an apartment located in the 600th block of Beatty Street, Trenton, NJ.  The victim was Yerika Hernandez, 27, of Trenton, NJ.  The suspect was identified as Jose E. Delgado-Febres, 35, of Trenton, NJ.

  • April 27 -- UPDATE: Trenton police have identified the woman sought in conjunction with the April 6 homicide of James Clark.  Taheira Shaquana Hickmond, 19, is believed to be in the Camden/Philadelphia area.  SUSPECT APPREHENDED.

  • April 25 -- At about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, a 19 year old male was shot in the ankle while standing outside a house on Fowler Street.  The victim was waiting for a female friend to come out of the house when a vehicle pulled up and a shot was fired.  The suspect is described as a black male, 16-19 years old, dark complexion, thin build, clean-shaven, wearing a black T-shirt and a black headband with a Jordan Emblem. 

  • April 25 -- A 25 year old male was shot at while driving along Grant Avenue early Saturday morning.  At about 2:45 a.m., a car with two unknown suspects pulled up along side the victim's vehicle. One of the suspects showed a gun and then fired at the victim's car, shattering the driver's window.

  • April 20 -- An unidentified Hispanic male was found laying unconscious on Route 1 South near Warren Street.  At the time Officers Robert Runoff and Douglas Charles were detailed to investigate and when they arrived they located the victim in the roadway.  The officers immediately began to give first aid to the victim.  When Trenton Emergency Medical System personnel arrived they continued to provide assistance to the victim.   The victim was transported to the Capital Health System at Fuld to be treated.  The unknown Hispanic male was listed in critical condition. 

  • April 13 -- Three Trenton men and a Bellevue Avenue grocery store were robbed at gunpoint Monday night in what police believe are related crimes.  The first victims were three men in their 20s who were working on cars on the first block of Passaic Street around 7 p.m. Police said one of the two robbery suspects first approached the men and asked if he could have some work done on his car. He left, then returned again and was told by one of the victims to return the next day. After leaving again, police said the suspect returned with a partner. Holding a handgun, the first suspect told the victims to hand over their money. The men complied and the suspects fled.  Police gave the suspects' descriptions as a black male with dark complexion, short hair, 5 foot 10 inches, 150 to 170 pounds, wearing a brown sweater and armed with a handgun, and a black male, 6 feet tall, 150 to 170 pounds and wearing a black ski mask.

    The second robbery that night occurred four blocks away on the first block of Bellevue Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Police said an unnamed 31-year-old man was working at Espinal Grocery when a man walked into the store, showed a handgun, and demanded money. The victim promptly opened the cash register and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who fled in an unknown direction.  The suspect in this case was described as 5 foot 8 inches, 145 to 160 pounds, armed with a handgun and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, and a black ski mask.
     

     
  • April 12 -- Sunday's carjacking involved an unnamed 26-year-old Morrisville, Pa., man, who told police he stopped his van in the area just after 9:15 p.m. to use his cell phone. At that point, he was approached by three men, all with bandannas over their faces and all armed, police said.  The suspects, two of whom had handguns and one of whom was carrying a shotgun, pulled the victim out of the van. As two of the suspects removed the wallet from the victim's pants, the third suspect struck the victim over the head with the handgun, police said.  Police said the victim was able to break free of his attackers and began to run from the area. In an attempt to stop him, the suspect with the shotgun began firing, police said. He missed, and the suspects got into the van and fled the area. The victim was not struck, and his van was later located abandoned in the North Ward.

     
  • April 9 -- Police said an unnamed 26-year-old New Egypt resident stopped in the area of Home Avenue and Jersey Street around 4:30 p.m. Thursday to pick up a friend. Four men forced him out of the car at gunpoint, then went on a bizarre ride through Pennington and Ewing where they struck a parked car in the borough and another in the township before forcing the victim to withdraw $1,000 from a township bank, according to police.

  • April 6 -- James Clark, 51, was found dead in his third floor apartment on Mercer Street in Trenton.  Police responding to a call reporting a dispute shortly after 5:00 a.m. Monday.  Upon arrival Trenton police discovered Mr. Clark's body.  An as yet unidentified woman is being sought in conjunction with the homicide.

  • April 5 -- Two black males, approximately 30 years old, wearing hoodies and jeans, attacked and robbed a 41 year old man on the Lincoln Avenue bridge Sunday night.  The suspects got away with a cell phone and about $180 cash.

  • April 4 --  A man sitting at the corner of Ewing and Cross Streets was approached by a black male, age 20-25, 170 pounds wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket, black pants and armed with a knife.  The victim resisted demands for money, but the suspect pulled a knife and in the ensuing struggle was able to snatch $225 from the victim.

  • April 3 -- Three black-clothed men approached a 32 year old city resident in the area of Calhoun Street and Fountain Avenue.  The trio, reportedly carrying a shotgun, threatened the victim and demanded money.  The victim gave them $100 cash.

  • April 3 -- A 19 year old city man was stabbed in the arm while walking in the area of Sanford Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.  An unknown assailant approached the victim from behind and stabbed him in the left arm about 2:30 Friday afternoon.

  • April 3 -- Police are investigating an apparent assault that occurred prior to 2:00 pm Friday.  Ludovit Mata, 46 was discovered in the 700 block of Pine Street by a patrol officer.  Mata suffered a fractured skull and has not been able to recount what happened.

  • April 1 -- Trenton Police were assigned to investigate a robbery that occurred at approximately 8:30 am Wednesday in the area of the 200th block of Parkside Avenue, Trenton, NJ. The victim was a 49-year-old Trenton, NJ man. It was reported that while the victim was walking two suspects approached him and asked for a light.  The victim didn’t have a light and continue to walk.  At this time he was struck by the suspect, which caused him to fell down.  The suspects went thru the victim’s pockets, but didn’t find anything of value.  The victim after the assault walked to Capital Health System at Fuld, where he was treated for pain I his back and stomach.   The suspects were described as:  Two 19 to 21 year old African Americans male, thin build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
